A three-day diet before the test is not necessary and medication need not be stopped. No false-positive or false-negative results, caused by elements in one's diet or medication, will occur.
The test results take only ten minutes to be ready.
Because polyps (a growth in the colon wall sometimes caused by a cancer) don't bleed continually, it is recommended to take a Faecal blood test repeatedly throughout the year, in order to increase the possibility of "catching" a bleeding polyp.
